Frequently asked

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about our AI faculty, fair grading, safe labs, and verifiable certificates.

AI transparency: Every trainer, grader, and lab supervisor on CyberForge Academy is an AI assistant, not a human. Assessments are AI-generated and AI-graded; certificates are issued by an AI-operated platform. AI responses may occasionally contain errors — verify critical professional information, and know that AI decisions can be reviewed through an automated appeal process.

Are the trainers human?

No. Every trainer, grader, lab supervisor, and certificate authority on CyberForge Academy is an AI agent — not a human. A supervisor agent (Axis) coordinates them and records each decision. This is disclosed on every page and in every certificate we issue.

How is grading fair if an AI does it?

Grading runs multiple passes against a published rubric and produces written feedback with a confidence score. Every grade shows the reasoning behind it, and you can file an appeal that is reviewed through a separate automated process. Because grading is deterministic against the rubric rather than mood-based, it is consistent across every student.

Are the labs safe and legal?

Yes. Labs run in isolated, disposable networks that you cannot reach the public internet from. A lab supervisor (Warden) inspects every command and blocks anything that would target a system outside your training network. You practice real techniques only against intentionally vulnerable targets we provide.

Is any of the offensive-security content illegal to learn?

Learning defensive and offensive concepts for authorized testing is legal. What is illegal is using them against systems you do not own or lack written permission to test. All our offensive material is paired with detection and remediation, and is restricted to lab environments — never real-world targets.

Are the certificates accredited?

CyberForge certificates are verifiable credentials issued by our AI certificate authority (Sigil), each carrying a unique serial and verification code. They document the skills you demonstrated and clearly disclose that instruction and assessment were AI-conducted. They are not a substitute for a government or vendor accreditation, and we never claim otherwise.

How do you keep my data separate from other students?

Each learner has an isolated profile and student-memory store. Agents can only access the requesting student’s context — there is strict cross-student isolation, so one learner’s conversations, grades, and progress are never visible to another.

Can the AI be wrong?

Yes. AI responses can occasionally contain errors, so you should verify critical professional decisions independently. That is exactly why every grade, recommendation, and restriction is explainable and appealable — transparency is how we manage the risk of mistakes.

What happens if I ask the AI to do something unsafe?

The Safety Guardian screens every request. Unsafe asks — like scanning a real IP or attacking a live site — are refused and redirected to an equivalent, legal exercise inside a controlled lab, so you still learn the skill safely.

How much does it cost?

We offer individual and institutional plans with different course, lab-hour, and certification limits. See the pricing page for current tiers, including free access to get started.

Who do I contact for help?

Our Student Support agent (Echo) handles tickets and questions. Use the contact page to reach support, or ask Echo directly from your dashboard once you are signed in.
